By the time Desmond and Morris got back to the city it was getting dark. They both turned to look back in the direction of the nature trail. They saw nor heard nothing.
In the police station they asked the officer at the duty desk if they had had any reports about the goings on in the nature area. The officer reported that they had not. This seemed rather odd to both of them. They explained what they had witnessed and brought out the video and digital equipment. The duty officer asked if they had any print images with them. "Here, just look in the viewers..." responded Desmond.
The duty officer (thinking he might be the victim of some strange prank) sighed and started to look at the images stored on the digital camera. He hummed to himself and put down the digital camera. He then looked into the viewer on the camcorder asking if he was going to see the same thing. Desmond just asked him to look inside the viewer.
"What the hell...Where the hell is this?" asked the duty officer. Desmond and Morris told him it was directly down the nature trail. "When did you take these?" asked the duty officer - he began to take notes. "I'll send an officer over right away. What are your names?" Desmond and Morris gave the officer their personal information and asked if it would be used to contact them regarding their report. "Yeah, can we contact you at these locations?" They thanked the officer and asked if they could leave. "Yeah, thanks guys." They thanked the officer and turned and left the station. It was dark.
"Do you think we should go back?" asked Desmond to Morris. "I'm going home, I think you might want to stay away from there...at least until the police investigate this thing. I mean, I think that would be the sensible thing to do. We really don't know what is happening there, we might be getting in the way...really. Let's get the car and just go. I don't like this thing at all, especially while it is dark. Let the pros do their jobs, I think they can handle it."
