The next day Desmond called Morris and left a message for him to call.

...a couple of hours later they were walking down the nature path with the video and digital cameras.

The sluggish rabbits were there again. Morris couldn't believe it. He had brought a walking stick after Desmond had told what he had experienced. The walking stick had the same effect on the sluggish rabbits. Morris commented that he may as well have brought along a cattle prod or supermodel Darla Crane.

Having filmed and taken the photos, both headed back the nature trail. They noticed that the trail and the surrounding environs was quite thick with the animals. They all seemed quite mangy and unnaturally sluggish. Morris commented that they seemed like they had been put into a drug-induced stupor. You literally had to push their ragged, furry bodies out of the way...

Unsettled by this, they found the car in the parking structure and headed back to Morris's place to view their recordings. You know, said Morris, we should have brought one of the damned things back with us. Desmond had other ideas and kept quiet about that.

When they got back to Morris' place, they began to download their video results. It's just so abnormal, said Morris. Indeed, thought Desmond.
